I want to book Fluid Motion for my event
Take Ten
Take Ten is a performance installation designed to slow us down. It’s a space to be present, in the here and now, to reflect and to notice.
Audiences can take a moment on our bespoke and colourful swing chairs, guided by a soundtrack that encourages them to sit comfortably, swing gently, and breathe deeply.
Take Ten is an artistic response, created in collaboration with Lorna Rees of Gobbledegook Theatre, that is centred around the idea of mental wellbeing.
It is underpinned by the ‘5 steps to mental wellbeing’, Fluid Motion’s own research with communities across Hampshire, and clinical psychologists who helped to shape the audio.
What our audiences say..
'Calming experience, chance to relax, see, feel, think, breathe. Life goes too fast, life is short. We need more great moments like this.' Audience Member, Waterlooville
'It really released me. I didn't even know I was so tense and stressed until I took a minute to relax.' Audience member - Grimsby
'Absolutely amazing. Ten minutes of pure relaxation.' Audience member - Merseyside
Take a Moment
‘Take a seat, stand up, or lie down, and listen closely. Someone wants to say something.’
Take a Moment is a sound installation, a positive piece of outdoor art encouraging reflection, feedback, and the hope to move forward.
The installation consists of four colourful wooden structures that play audio from a sound cube embedded within them. They are designed to be sat on, meaning that the audience member can listen comfortably to the audio from within. They are water resistant, meaning that they work well outside.
This installation works particularly well as an interactive feedback point at festivals, conferences, and events. It can also be a striking element as part of the evaluation of a project. We can work with you to design and create the audio, or you can provide us with pre-made content.
Brain Hug
‘Will you take a moment to give your brain a little love?’
Life can be chaotic, fast-paced, and stressful. Sometimes all we need is a little self-care to help us feel better, a moment of joy that helps us reset, ready to embrace the day.
Wouldn’t it be nice if we could hug our own brains? Give it the love and care it deserves. How would that feel? How would you feel inside?
Brain Hug is a fun, family-friendly walkabout. It’s pink, and it’s fluffy with a big smiley face, and it’s waiting for that hug.
What our audiences say..
‘I needed this hug.’ - Audience member, Totton
‘This is so simple but really effective. It made me think about how I am feeling today.’ - Audience member, Basingstoke
‘Sometimes a hug is all you need. This was magic, thank you.’ - Audience member, Southampton
