What exciting events are coming up at the Hub?

Off the Rails

All aboard for a wild ride through Totton’s past, present and future! Off The Rails is a creative writing and art project for young people aged 13–18 – and it’s FREE.

Join local author AJ Hardingson for four fun, hands-on workshops where you’ll dive into Totton’s Victorian railway history, dream up the future of rail travel, and bring it all to life through poetry, flash fiction, and collage. You'll learn creative hacks for writing and editing, get stuck into making bold, brilliant artwork, and help co-create an epic exhibition that will be on display at Totton Railway Station.

Whether you’re a word wizard, total beginner, or just want to try something new – this is your stop.

Workshop Dates: 19th, 22nd, 26th & 29th August 1–3pm at Totton Creative Hub.

Exhibition Launch: Saturday 27th September, 2pm at Totton Railway Station

Each workshop builds on the next, but also stands alone. It's recommended to come to as many as you can.

Workshop 1 (19th)- Blackout/collage poetry

Workshop 2 (22nd) - Flash fiction

Workshop 3 (26th) - Green futures & time travel

Workshop 4 (29th) - Railway 200 artwork and exhibition co-creation

Wiggles and Giggles

Come along for dance and sensory play with your under 5s!

We run a weekly class for you and your little ones to share joy through movement, music, props and play.

Expect singing and seated sensory play using props, instruments, everyday items and our imaginations, before we get up on our feet and move – stretching our minds and our bodies in a way that feels GREAT!

Each week is different, but we always promise a completely non-judgemental environment for you to play, bond and wiggle with your little ones in.

We follow the 40 minute session with a drink/snack and a chance to chat!

All are welcome. Suggested donation of £2 per session.
